Driving Tour – 11am – 4pm
Garden After-Party – 4pm – 6pm

The Town of Clinton is a little-known Dutchess County gem remarkable for its rich tapestry of historic properties and well-preserved rural landscape. A recent survey identified 338 historically significant properties in the town.

Take the Clinton Historical Society’s second Self-Driving Tour for a guided ramble through the lanes and back roads of our town. At your own pace visit twelve historic landmarks in Clinton Corners, Schultzville, Hibernia, and the surrounding countryside. Then join us in the garden of the last landmark for an after-party with locally sourced food, wine, beer, cider, and a silent auction. (Join us at the after-party even if you do not take the tour!)

Begin the day by purchasing your keepsake tour map at the Creek Meeting House. Doors will be open from 11am until 3pm. Start early to see all the landmarks!

At each site trained docents will provide exterior tours that explain the property’s historical and architectural significance. Along the way take a ride in a 1929 Woody, enter contests that test your historical knowledge and stop for lunch at one of the local eateries shown on your map.

We will meet at Mole Manor at 4pm (or later) for the after-party. (If only attending the after-party, you can purchase admission there.)
