PAST EXHIBITS
The Clinton Historical Society’s mission, in part, is to provide education on historical subjects through publications, exhibits, and speakers. A key part of this is the annual summer exhibit developed by our enthusiastic volunteers who are skilled in research, development, and presentation. Exhibit topics are of general historical interest and can be related to the Town of Clinton, Dutchess County, or the Mid-Hudson Valley. Since 1995 nineteen annual summer exhibits have been presented to the community, with such diverse topics as Dutchess County railroads, glass plate negative photographs, the Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge, Hudson River steamboats, antique carpenter’s tools, antique quilts, and “Historic Barns of Clinton.” The Society continues to seek ideas for future exhibits and welcomes suggestions by contacting info@clintonhistoricalsociety.com.
